Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

The short version: we only collect what we need to reply to you and do our work, we never sell it, we only send marketing if you've agreed, and you can ask us to see, fix or delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are

Growth Engine Digital (Jodi Hay) builds websites and runs digital marketing for businesses. We're at 123 Margaret Street Toowoomba City QLD 4350. In this policy, "we" and "us" means Growth Engine Digital.

This policy covers this website (gedigital.com.au), enquiries, bookings and our work with clients.

We handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

What you give us: when you send an enquiry, your name, business name, email, phone number, website, the service you're interested in and your message, and whether you're happy for us to text you. When you book a call, what you enter in the booking form. When you become a client, the details we need to do the work and invoice you.

Only if you allow it: if you click Accept on the cookie notice, Meta's pixel records that you visited, and when you send an enquiry, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. If you click Decline, it isn't loaded at all.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details. Please don't include it in your messages.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry, book calls and give you the information or quote you asked for.
  • To deliver our services if you become a client, and to invoice and keep proper business records.
  • To text you about your enquiry, but only if you ticked the box saying that's fine.
  • To send you marketing, but only if you've agreed to it. You can stop it at any time (section 7).
  • To measure and improve our advertising, only if you clicked Accept on the cookie notice.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first. No decision that significantly affects your rights or interests is made about you by a computer.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only with the businesses that help us run our services, and only what each needs:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), United States: our customer relationship system, booking calendar, and the emails and texts we send. Text messages are delivered by Twilio, United States.
  • Vercel, United States, with a worldwide delivery network: hosts this website.
  • Meta (Facebook), United States: ad measurement, only if you click Accept.
  • Professional advisers such as our accountant, and anyone the law requires us to disclose information to.

5. Information sent overseas

Some of these providers store or process information in the United States (and Vercel delivers pages from servers around the world). Before using an overseas provider we take reasonable steps to make sure it protects your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including choosing established providers with recognised security practices and using their privacy and data-processing terms, and we send only what each provider needs.

6. Cookies and your choices

The first time you visit, we ask whether you accept a Meta (Facebook) cookie used to measure our ads. Until you choose, and if you decline, it isn't loaded. If you accept, Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you if you use Facebook or Instagram, under Meta's own privacy policy.

You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page, block cookies in your browser, or manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.

7. Emails, texts and unsubscribing

We only send marketing emails or texts if you've agreed to receive them. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, you can reply STOP to any text, or just email us. We act on it straight away, and always within five working days.

8. How we protect it and how long we keep it

Information travels over encrypted connections, and access is limited to the people who need it, through password-protected accounts.

We keep enquiry details while we're in contact with you and for up to 24 months after, then delete them unless you've become a client. Client records are kept for as long as we need them to do the work and as the law requires, for example tax records for five years.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and report it as the law requires.

9. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email jodi@gedigital.com.au. It's free, and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first. If we can't do what you ask, for example because the law requires us to keep something, we'll explain why in writing.

10. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a complaint about how we've handled your information, email jodi@gedigital.com.au or write to us at 123 Margaret Street Toowoomba City QLD 4350. We'll look into it and reply within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

11. Other things you should know

You don't have to give us your details, but we may not be able to reply to you or provide our services without them. You can enquire without giving your name if you just want general information; just say so in your message.

Our website and services are for businesses and aren't intended for anyone under 18.

We'll update this policy when the way we handle information changes, and change the date at the top.
